The South I-25 Urban Corridor Transportation Management Association (TMA) in cooperation with the Southeast Business Partnership (SEBP) advocates for a strong policy that ensures funding for significant infrastructure projects. The TMA and SEBP encourage the expansion of affordable and convenient multi-modal transportation systems including the completion of the Regional Transportation District (RTD)’s FasTracks, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) and other forms of alternate transit such as carpooling and teleworking.
The TMA believes high speed rail investment has crucial impacts on improving the air quality, congestion levels and economic development. Federal investment in high speed rail would spur millions of new jobs and help make the transportation sector cleaner and more efficient in energy security. The TMA is focused on policies that focus on long term investments and solutions to the lack of a complete and successful region-wide transportation system and continuously rising gas prices.
Lynn, thanks for facilitating the initial meeting between Commissioner Repella, Douglas County Staff and ViaSat/WildBlue. We had a very productive discussion regarding our intended improvements and the permitting process. The dialog will continue with the mutual goal of streamlining the permitting process and getting us into the building as soon as practical.
